Past Projects
MBnet is the website of MikroBitti the largest new technology magazine in Finland. MBnet belongs to Finland's most visited sites. I was the technical lead in implementing the new structure and layout of the site (graphics have been revamped since). My responsibilities included developing new and maintaining existing services using Microsoft's .NET platform.
Urbaanisanakirja was an adaptation of the infamous Urban Dictionary for the local market here in Finland. The goal was to document all slang words and phrases in Finnish context including "internet speak". Unfortunately, urbaanisanakirja.fi was a late comer as a rival site, urbaanisanakirja.com, had launched weeks earlier. It was a funny coincidence since I and the author of the .com site were working simultaneously on exactly the same idea without knowing about the other.
Technologies used: ASP.NET with ASP.NET AJAX and MySQL.
